Flying

Eliminate The Flying Pests Impacting Your Home.

Good Nature Pest Control understands that flying pests like fruit flies, moths, house flies, and other airborne insects can be a nuisance in both residential and commercial environments. Not only are these bugs or flying pests aesthetically unpleasing to those around them, they can also impact the sanctity of the home or business environment. Having multiple people in the same area can spread common illnesses more easily due to poor hygiene resulting from airborne contamination from such insects. Good Nature Pest Control is an advocate for providing a safe and healthy living environment for homes and businesses alike by helping to get rid of any flying pests that might be lurking about.

Common House Fly

House flies are not only nuisance pests while flying around homes and other structures, but they are also potential disease carriers. They have short lifespans, but they can quickly reproduce quickly if not controlled. These pests make their way to buildings by air currents and odors.

House flies do not bite, but they are capable of transferring more than many different pathogens, including salmonellosis, typhoid and tuberculosis. They can contaminate food surfaces by spreading disease organisms through their legs and mouths when feeding on trash, feces and other decaying substances.

Blow Fly

These flies are known for their metallic blue, green, copper or black coloring and resemble houseflies to the untrained eye.

Blow flies are attracted by the scent of fresh meat or road kill and their larvae typically feed on dead animals or other garbage waste. In some cases they can become parasitic, making it even more important to contact Good Nature Pest Control as soon as possible.

We will safely and effectively eliminate your blow fly problem so you can enjoy a pest-free home once again.

Cluster Fly

Cluster flies are easily recognizable due to their large size and sluggish movements. They appear similar to the common house fly, though slightly larger. During summer months, cluster flies are found outdoors in grassy areas, where they will seek out earthworms as hosts for their larvae.

Cluster fly eggs are laid near the entrance of an earthworm burrow. Upon hatching, the larvae will enter the burrow and penetrate the earthworm’s body. From there they feed on the worm before exiting and pupating in the soil. As adults, they then emerge to begin the cycle again multiple times throughout summer seasons.

Fruit Fly

Fruit flies are common, and unfortunately, persistent household pests. A combination of ongoing sanitation efforts and insecticides can help treat indoor populations of these insects.

Adult fruit flies are brown or tan in color and they have a visible red eye with a tan thorax and black/grey abdomen. They can infest homes when there is ripe, rotting, or decayed fruit or produce present, allowing them to rapidly reproduce indoors throughout the year.

With an average life span of up to 30 days per adult fly, immediate treatment is critical for effective control. As well as being a nuisance pest, the risk from fruit flies increases due to their ability to contaminate food with harmful bacteria and disease-causing pathogens.

Drain Fly

These tiny creatures – typically ranging between 1/6 to 1/5 inch long, dark in color and covered with hairs – are seen as pests as they can lay up to hundred of eggs and fly around when disturbed.

Fortunately, they rarely cause harm as they usually stay near sources of sewage where the larvae and pupae feast on bacteria-rich debris on the septic lines and drains.
